The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency said it really is alarmed with regard to the higher variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The assistance position made for intervention encounters a substantial influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who stop by a service read more point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to allow the servicing of all prospects and enhance access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
